A different way to learn swim

Once you completely understand what exactly will give you a float or sinking result, that is a big step!

Learning WHY certain things are a struggle and the quick fixes.  Too often, the focus is on an actual stroke or teaching a new motor movement.

This is especially true with children who are told to "scoop the water" or some other well-used example.

Kids and adults can easily grasp the elemental truths or physics of what's to be accomplished.

Motor and neuro learning happen rapidly; usually just three to five attempts.

Why allow swimmers to try repeated fearful, sometimes fruitless efforts?

Often, the habits picked up during these initial attempts need to be corrected.

The cost for swim lessons can be signifigant as well.

With kids who progress steadily, they enjoy the lessons and show off to the rest of thier group.

Our simple concepts of swim are learned with and ahead of lessons.

This is also a great framework to most rapidly teach yourself how to swim.

Parent participation is very important.

Once you know the plan, the steps, and reasons you can help teach.

You can then practice with your child.

Physical movement required for the water can be duplicated and well practiced in the gym.  Breathing patterns can be improved  with work.  Why wait until you are in the water to condition these things?
